Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Tikva ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the Tikva application and website.

1. Information we collect

Account information: email address and authentication data provided when you create an account. Health and fitness information you enter yourself: meals and food logs, calorie and macro targets, body weight, body measurements, and workout records. Usage data: interactions within the app including lesson progress, journey choices, coach conversations, and tool usage patterns. Payment information: processed securely through Stripe — we do not store full credit card numbers.

2. How we use information

To provide and personalize the Tikva experience. To improve our behavior change methodology and content. To communicate about your account and Journeys. We do NOT sell personal data to third parties.

3. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

4. Deleting your account and your data

You can request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to ask:

What happens next: we confirm the request with the account’s registered email address before removing anything — nothing is deleted automatically. Once confirmed, we delete your account and the personal data tied to it (profile and login data, journey and lesson progress, coach conversations, food and meal logs, calorie and macro targets, body weight, measurements, and workout records) within 30 days.

What we keep, and for how long: billing and transaction records are retained by us and by our payment processor (Stripe) for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted. We may also keep aggregated or anonymized statistics that can no longer be linked back to you. Nothing we keep is used to contact you again.

Cancel the subscription separately: deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, cancel it in that store; if you subscribed on our website, cancel it in the billing portal or ask us at joel@tikva-app.com.

You may also ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, using the same contact address.

5. Health information and medical disclaimer

Tikva is an education and habit-training app. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Talk to a doctor or another qualified health professional before changing your diet, your training, or any medication, and whenever you have a question about a health condition. The health and fitness information you enter is used only to run the features you use inside the app — we do not sell it and we do not share it with advertisers.
